Crystal Palace, West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City had all been linked with moves for the out of favour Tottenham Hotspur defender.
Tottenham defender Kevin Wimmer
The tabloid claimed earlier this week that West Brom were hopeful of landing the Austrian, along with Tottenham teammate Vincent Janssen.
But according to The Sun’s latest report, Wimmer has turned down the Baggies as Tony Pulis wanted to play him at left-back.

And it appears as though Palace are set to profit, ahead of Stoke, after Davinson Sanchez’s £38.4 million arrival rendered Wimmer surplus to requirements at Tottenham.
Palace are looking to replace Steve Mandanda after his return Marseille earlier this summer, while Spurs brought in Southampton’s Paolo Gazzaniga this week.

According to The Sun, Stoke are already in talks to sign Club Brugge centre-back Bjorn Engels.
And that could make West Brom the big losers, with The Daily Mail reporting that Manchester City are expected to sign Jonny Evans, who also plays in Wimmer’s position.
