According to the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace have pipped Leeds United to the signing of Peterborough United talent Adler Nascimento.
It’s claimed that the Posh were hopeful of keeping hold of Nascimento having offered the 16-year-old a new scholarship and then a professional contract.
Nascimento has rejected that offer though, and is now heading down toe Selhurst Park to join up with Patrick Vieira’s side.
The Portuguese talent made his senior debut on the final day of last season, with Darren Ferguson seemingly having big plans for him.
It hasn’t worked though. Nascimento has been tempted down to London by Palace, who have fended off real competition for the the attacker.
Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton were keen on Nascimento in January, whilst Leeds United were rivalling Palace for him this summer.

Victor Orta loves to recruit young players for the future, and has already done that this summer by bringing Wigan Athletic’s Sean McGurk to Elland Road.
Nascimento could have joined him, but Leeds have been beaten to a deal that could cost £500,000 if Peterborough get their way.
