Crystal Palace and Aberdeen have been linked with Hamilton Academical midfielder Lewis Ferguson in the summer transfer window.

Scottish Premiership club Aberdeen are also reported to be interested in Ferguson, who is one of the best young midfielders in the Scottish top flight.
Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is claimed to be a big fan of Ferguson, while Palace Sporting Director Dougie Freedman is reported to have been in touch with Hamilton regarding the 18-year-old midfielder.

Promising talent
Ferguson is a hugely talented and promising young midfielder and is the son of former Rangers midfielder Derek Ferguson.
The teenager has made 11 appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Hamilton this season, providing four assists in the process, according to Transfermarkt.com.

The midfielder would be a good signing for Palace or Aberdeen, but care must be taken to give him protection and time.
One should not expect Ferguson to be an instant hint at the Eagles or at the Dons; he must be allowed to develop at his own pace.
