Sorloth has struggled at Palace since joining in January 2018.

Norwegian outlet VG have claimed that Crystal Palace striker Alexander Sorloth has agreed to join Belgian side Gent on loan until the end of the season, after putting pen to paper on Tuesday night.
Palace signed 23-year-old Sorloth from Danish side FC Midtjylland a year ago for a fee of £9million (Sky Sports), but has struggled to live up to that fee since moving to London.
Indeed, the Norway international has managed just one goal in 19 appearances for Palace, with the likes of Christian Benteke, Jordan Ayew and Connor Wickham above him in the pecking order.
Now, Sorloth is set to fly to Spain where Gent are currently on a training camp, where he is expected to sign a loan deal until the end of the season. The report states that there will be no permanent clause included.

Gent’s current manager is Jess Thorup, who coached Sorloth at Midtjylland during the Norwegian’s last season in Denmark – which saw him score 15 goals in 26 games and eventually earn a move to Palace.
It is believed that Palace still see a future for Sorloth at Selhurst Park, and are hopeful he will rediscover his shooting boots ahead of the 2019-20 season.
