According to the Manchester Evening News, Crystal Palace have agreed terms with Manchester United over a loan deal for Donny van de Beek.
What’s the story?
Well, the Manchester Evening News also state that the Dutchman was offered to Newcastle, although it’s Crystal Palace who have acted first.
The south Londoners are said to have agreed to pay Van de Beek’s £120,000-a-week wages in full, although it’s not a formality just yet.
Two other clubs are also said to have agreed terms with Manchester United.
Now, it’s up to Van de Beek to decide who he wants to join on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 24-year-old is said to be upset at Old Trafford, and feels he was misled over his chances of game time by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Furthermore, the Manchester Evening News state that people at Old Trafford feel Van de Beek lacks the physicality for Premier League football.
That is despite the fact he added muscle mass during pre-season.
Since his £40m move from Ajax, Van de Beek has started just four Premier League games, and has only played 68 minutes of league action this term.
Crystal Palace have Donny van de Beek advantage over Newcastle

If Newcastle decide to get involved in the race for Van de Beek, then they face serious competition from Crystal Palace.
The Manchester Evening News state that Van de Beek’s partner Estelle is the daughter of Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp.
Interestingly, it is said that Bergkamp remains close friends with Patrick Vieira.

Therefore, that could be enough to nudge Van de Beek in the direction of Selhurst Park.
In our view, a midfield duo of Conor Gallagher and Van de Beek is a mouthwatering prospect, and we can’t wait to see it in action if this deal goes ahead.
Keep an eye on this saga, as the 19-cap Netherlands international looks destined to move before Monday’s transfer deadline.
