Lam looks to be sixth in Nottingham Forest’s centre-back pecking order.
Crotone have made contact with Nottingham Forest about signing Thomas Lam, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
The Italian side are said to have targeted Lam in a bid to shore up their defence ahead of their return to Serie B after last season’s relegation.
And they could be in with a chance after Nottingham Forest added Michael Hefele (below, right) in the Finland international’s position last week.
Lam already appeared to be behind Michael Dawson, Tobias Figueiredo, Joe Worrall and Danny Fox in Aitor Karanka’s plans at centre-back, and has not featured in any of Forest’s three matchday squads this campaign.
The Amsterdam native spent the bulk of last season on loan in the country of his birth, with FC Twente, for whom he played 30 times.
And, as a client of the Dutch-Italian agent Mino Raiola (below), interest from the latter nation this time should come as little surprise.
