According to Spanish newspaper Don Balon, Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has told the club to make a move for West Ham United target William Carvalho.
Carvalho, 25, has come up through the ranks with Sporting Lisbon having joined way back in 2005, and he has now racked up more than 150 appearances for the Portuguese giants.
The powerful midfielder has also racked up 38 caps for Portugal at international level, and his performances for club and country have unsurprisingly attracted major interest.

It has been well-documented that West Ham United wanted to sign Carvalho in August, though the Daily Record reported on deadline day that the Hammers pulled out of the race to sign him after failing to agree terms with Sporting.
The Mirror reported last month that Carvalho still actually wants to sign for West Ham despite frayed relations between the two clubs, though he may end up having an even bigger offer on the table.
Spanish newspaper Don Balon report that Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has offered his view on who the club should sign, and has advised Florentino Perez to make a move for international team-mate Carvalho.

It’s believed that manager Zinedine Zidane is a fan of Carvalho, and as natural competition for holding midfielder Casemiro, Carvalho could fit the bill as a signing to add some more depth to the Real midfield.
A move to the Champions League winners and Spanish giants would be hard to turn down for Carvalho, and Ronaldo’s request could end West Ham’s lingering hopes of sealing a deal for the midfielder.
