According to The Scottish Sun, goalkeeper Craig Gordon is considering a two-year deal to re-join Hearts as he continues to be unimpressed with Celtic’s offer.
It’s claimed that Hearts – who re-appointed their former boss Robbie Neilson as their new manager on Sunday – aren’t stopping there in their efforts to bring back former favourites.
Hearts have allegedly offered Gordon a two-year deal to return to Tynecastle. Gordon was born in Edinburgh and first joined the Hearts ranks back in 2000.
Gordon ended up making 176 appearances for Hearts, before joining Sunderland in 2007. The fee was then a record fee paid by a British club for a goalkeeper.
Injuries ravaged him in England, but he has returned to form with Celtic following a 2014 move. Now 37, it seems that the Scot is considering heading back to Hearts.

His Celtic contract expired earlier this month, and it’s stated that he is ‘unimpressed’ with Celtic’s offer to keep him, because they’re offering him reduced terms – and have yet to come up with a better offer.
Gordon has though rejected a move to Scottish Premiership side St Mirren, and may now be willing to drop into the second tier in order to rejoin Hearts.
Celtic need to move quickly and with a real offer if they want to land Gordon, or else Neil Lennon and co will miss out on him – possibly to a second-tier side, which wouldn’t be ideal.
