According to Football London, Antonio Conte believes Tottenham wonderkid Oliver Skipp can become one of the best players on the planet.
What’s the story?
Well, it seems the Spurs boss has high hopes for the England Under-21 international.
Football London‘s Alasdair Gold was highlighting how desperate Conte is to have Skipp back fit and available when he made the revelation.
The 21-year-old has been absent since January 23rd due to a pelvic injury, which the Italian is starting to get impatient about.
Conte even suggested that Tottenham’s medical department should have to explain the situation in a press conference themselves, rather than let him do it.
As quoted by the Guardian, he said: “Oliver Skipp, it is a pity. In England, I think that sometimes you should have a conference with the medical department. It is too easy for the doctors to work here because they don’t speak, they don’t explain what happens, you understand?”

We haven’t seen Conte this agitated over an injury since he arrived at Tottenham in November, which speaks volumes about how highly he rates Skipp.
Oliver Skipp will become a Tottenham hero
In our view, Skipp will follow in Harry Kane’s footsteps and become a hero at Tottenham.
The Spurs No.29 has no ego about him, and is a hardworking, honest player who you can rely on – it’s no wonder Conte loves him.

Skipp is the type of player who will deliver at least a 7/10 every week, and is also a midfield lynchpin who Conte can build his team around.
His level of performance already, at the age of just 21, is simply outstanding, and it’s scary to think about how good he will become in two or three years.
The sooner Skipp returns from his pelvic injury, the better – it speaks volumes that results have dipped since he picked up the problem.
