A UK-based consortium is reportedly interested in buying Aston Villa from Tony Xia.

A consortium made up of British businessmen is ready to launch a bid to buy Aston Villa from current owner Tony Xia, according to the Sun.

Xia is ready to sell the club after they failed to achieve promotion back to the Premier League this season, losing 1-0 to Fulham in the Championship playoff final.
