Leeds United defender Conor Shaughnessy had to be withdrawn in the contest, leaving Marcelo Bielsa’s options looking short.

Marcelo Bielsa is keen to give his senior players the chance to sharpen up their skills in the development squad, if they haven’t been playing regularly in the first-team.
However, Bielsa’s desire to get his Leeds players matches has backfired slightly in recent times.
Patrick Bamford picked up an injury which is set to keep him out for four months last week, and Shaughnessy also hurt himself yesterday.
Shaughnessy was forced to be withdrawn from the play in the second-half, with the severity of his injury yet to be discovered.

While there are no suggestions that Shaughnessy will be out for a similar length of time to Bamford, his absence doesn’t help Leeds.
The Whites are already short of options at centre-back, and losing Shaughnessy just adds to Bielsa’s problems at the moment, with Leeds’ injury issues stacking up.
