Celtic boss Neil Lennon is interested in a left-back, with Greg Taylor and Birger Meling said to be on his wishlist.

Totally conflicting transfer reports about Celtic’s plans leave it difficult to predict who Neil Lennon is going after in the final few days of the transfer window.

The Scottish Sun claim that Celtic are unlikely to target Rosenborg left-back Birger Meling, who has been on their radar for some time.

The tabloid claims that Celtic are more likely to go for Greg Taylor, as they think that the Kilmarnock full-back will be perfect for them.

However, the Daily Record claims that Celtic’s transfer plans are totally different.

They say that the Bhoys actually have decided against moving for Taylor, as Kilmarnock won’t budge on their asking price.

The Record feel that Celtic are set to chase Meling, as they seek a left-back before the end of the month.

It leaves Celtic fans rather in the dark over who their side are actually going after.

It is clear that Celtic are in the market for a new left-back, following Kieran Tierney’s departure, but whether they will go after Meling or Taylor remains to be seen.
