Ashley Cole open to the idea of moving to Birmingham but LA Galaxy insist he is not for sale.
Blues manager Harry Redknapp has admitted his interest in both players and it is thought Keane – who is a free agent after leaving the Los Angeles side in January – will begin talks with the club this week over a possible move.

If the forward were to complete the switch to St Andrew’s, then Cole too would consider halting his career in MLS to make a return to English football.
However, Galaxy head coach Curt Onalfo is determined to keep the left-back, who is under contract until the end of the year, in the USA.
“He is a really important part of our team, Ashley brings a level of experience,” Onalfo told Sky Sports News.
“He is our oldest player but he often looks like our youngest. He has such a great way about him and he’s certainly in my plans and I want to have him stay here.”

According to the Birmingham Mail, despite Cole having been on huge wages the last time he was in England with Chelsea, the 36-year-old is now paid less than £300,000 a year.
Therefore his salary would not be a problem for Birmingham and it remains to be seen if he, and Keane, will be playing for Redknapp’s side in 2017/18.
