According to Sport, Everton have made a bid for Barcelona central defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

The report has claimed that the Toffees have made an offer of €22 million (£19.74 million) plus bonuses for Todibo, who is on loan at Schalke at the moment.

Everton have learned that Schalke will not keep the 20-year-old beyond the summer, according to the report, which has added that Barcelona want more than what the Premier League club have offered them.

Stats

Todibo, who can also operate as a defensive midfielder, moved to Barcelona from Toulouse in January 2019.

According to WhoScored, the French youngster made two appearances in La Liga for Barcelona last season.

The defender played 77 minutes in the league and 90 minutes in the Champions League for Barca this season before switching to Schalke on loan in January, according to WhoScored.

Todibo has made four starts and four substitute appearances in the Bundesliga for Schalke during his loan spell so far, according to WhoScored.

Todibo is a very young and talented defender, and he could be a good signing for Everton in the long run.
