Swansea City’s pursuit of a Liverpool defender ‘could complicate’ Tottenham Hotspur’s pursuit of Joe Rodon.
Sky Sports claims Swansea are ‘running out of time’ to complete a deal for Nat Phillips.
Goal had earlier claimed that Phillips was unlikely to leave Liverpool on loan, with the Reds feeling that either selling the youngster or keeping him as cover would be in his best interests.
And that could be the complication to which Sky Sports refers.
The broadcaster adds that Tottenham remain in talks about a deal for Rodon, but are still apart in their valuation of the Wales international.
Swansea have also been linked with moves for the defenders Joel Latibeaudiere and Ryan Bennett of Manchester City and Wolverhampton Wanderers, which suggests that they expect a move for Rodon.
Tottenham’s London rivals West Ham United were also credited with an interest in the 22-year-old, but the latter club have signed signed Watford’s Craig Dawson.

Meanwhile, Rodon’s Wales teammate Harry Wilson is set to undergo a medical at Cardiff City ahead of a loan move from Liverpool, according to Sky Sports.
Wilson had also been linked with Swansea.
Goal reports that Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough and Bristol City are also keen on Phillips, who like Wilson progressed through Liverpool’s academy ranks.
