Ryan Taylor has said that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal should be able to sign Jurrien Timber from Ajax ahead of Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United.
The Express journalist has told GiveMeSport that Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in signing Jurrien Timber from Ajax in the summer transfer window.
The reporter has added that Ajax are willing to sell the 22-year-old Netherlands international to Arsenal and expects the Gunners to complete a deal for the youngster.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Timber, who can operate as a right-back or as a centre-back, is keen on a move to Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
Taylor said about Timber: “He is a really highly-rated, young centre-back with world-class potential.
“He has also been tracked by Manchester United, but there does seem to be an appetite that Ajax are willing to sell to Arsenal.
“It’s now just about finding an agreement. Obviously, at this moment in time, it doesn’t look like any other clubs are interested, which massively benefits Arsenal. I do expect that one to get done.”

However, it seems that it is Arsenal who are pushing ahead to secure the services of the 22-year-old.
