According to The Times, Chelsea are willing to offer Ross Barkley and Michy Batshuayi to West Ham United in a swap deal for Declan Rice.

It has been reported that Chelsea want to sign Rice – who can operate as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder – from Premier League rivals West Ham in the summer transfer window.

However, according to the report, the Hammers do not want to sell the England international this summer.

The report has added that West Ham are not interested in midfielder Barkley or striker Batshuayi.

West Ham United stay

Rice is one of the best young players in the Premier League, and his versatility makes him an even more appealing footballer.

With West Ham set to stay in the Premier League for next season, one can understand why the London club reportedly do not want to sell him.

However, one suspects that the final decision will be down to Rice, and a move to Chelsea – who could be playing in the Champions League next season and challenging for the Premier League title – does sound very tempting indeed.
