Leeds United are among the sides trying to sign Jean-Claude Billong, TeamTalk claim.
Leeds are said to be in competition with Crystal Palace and West Ham United in the race to sign the central defender, who is now available for transfer.
Billong currently plays for Salernitana in the Italian second division, and he is one of the club’s highest earners.
Salernitana are now trying to offload him to reduce their expenditure, and Billong is thought to appeal to a number of Premier League sides.
The 26-year-old is a towering defender who stands at 6ft 4inches, and his physical attributes lead scouts to believe he could cope well in England.

Leeds do appear to be looking to sign a centre-back this summer, despite bringing in Robin Koch.
Leeds currently only really have Liam Cooper and Koch as naturals in the position, so Billong could present a good option for them as cover.
