It has been reported that Doherty will undergo a medical at Tottenham this weekend and agree personal terms before completing his transfer from Wolves.
The Wanderers will be paid a transfer fee of £15 million with no add-ons, with the English club having paid League of Ireland side Bohemians £75,000 for the full-back back in 2010, according to the report.
The Express & Star has added that the decision to sell the 28-year-old was made by manager Nuno and chairman Jeff Shi.

Doherty, who can operate as a right wing-back or left wing-back, is 28 years of age now and is at the top of his game.
The Republic of Ireland international would make an immediate impact at Tottenham, and it also made sense for Wolves to sell him at the reported transfer fee of £15 million given how much they paid for him in the first place.
The Wanderers could now invest that money in the summer transfer window.
