Liverpool’s hesitance has led PSG to believe that they have a chance of landing Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich this summer, according to Le10 Sport.

Liverpool have been thought to be the front runners to sign Thiago throughout the summer so far.

However, PSG have now entered the running for the £30 million-rated talent (Independent), and they think that Liverpool have given them an opportunity.

Liverpool are said to be prepared to wait until January before making a bid for Thiago, as they feel his price-tag could lower.

But PSG may be more tempted to snap him up this summer.

There are doubts over the future of Idrissa Gueye at the Champions League finalists, and Thiago could prove to be an excellent replacement for the Senegal international.

If PSG do bid it is claimed that Liverpool may well make a rival offer, with Jurgen Klopp potentially ready to respond, but the French club are now sensing that they could have a chance to get a deal over the line.

If Thiago does end up signing elsewhere it will be a blow to Liverpool supporters.

The Bayern man would help Liverpool add even more creativity to their midfield ranks, and he would prove their ambition to stay at the top.
