Real Madrid chiefs have told Zinedine Zidane to stop dreaming of signing Liverpool’s Sadio Mane, according to the Daily Mail.

Zidane has apparently been tracking Mane for over a year now, as he is a huge fan of the Liverpool front-man.

However, Madrid chiefs reportedly know that it will be practically impossible to get Mane away from Anfield and they want Zidane to focus on what he has.

Los Blacos are keen to see £39 million signing (Sky) Vinicius Junior fulfil his potential with them, and they want his development promoted ahead of new signings.

That should be good news for Liverpool, who will not want to risk any distractions with Mane.

The Senegalese forward has arguably been their most dangerous attacker over the past two seasons, with his form one of the reasons why they have been so dominant in the Premier League.

Even if Madrid had come in for Mane, Liverpool would surely have felt confident of keeping him away from the Bernabeu.

But with Zidane seemingly told to focus on other targets, that should put an end to any speculation surrounding Mane’s future over the summer.
