Barcelona spent all Sunday afternoon trying to offload Everton and Leeds United-linked players, according to AS.

Jean-Clair Todibo and Rafinha Alcantara had been listed as targets for Everton and Leeds, respectively, in recent weeks.

But Barca are said to have been negotiating with Porto on what was the penultimate day of the summer transfer window.

It is claimed that the operation, which would see Diego Leite join Barca on loan from Porto, ‘can be completed in the next few hours’, although there has been no announcement yet from either club.

Everton will not be too concerned by the news, having completed a move for the Norwich City centre-back Ben Godfrey earlier on Monday.

Leeds, on the other hand, have yet to strengthen in Rafinha’s position, central midfield, and saw a deal for the Bayern Munich player Michael Cuisance collapse last week.

The Whites are, however, being strongly linked with the Rennes winger Raphinha ahead of Monday’s deadline for global and Premier League transfers.

Both Everton and Leeds can still recruit from EFL clubs until 16 October.
