Aston Villa will simply not give up on signing Arsenal stopper Emiliano Martinez, the Daily Mail claim.
Villa have seen two bids knocked back already by Arsenal for the goalkeeper, but they are now preparing a third offer.
Dean Smith’s side see Martinez as their number one choice, whereas Arsenal are yet to guarantee him first-team football.
Mikel Arteta does want to keep Martinez, as reported by the Daily Mirror, but a bid of £20 million could be enough to tempt Arsenal into selling.
With Villa now set to improve on their £15 million offer, it seems that Smith’s side could be closing in on a deal for the Argentine.
If he does depart Arsenal that could be a major disappointment at the Emirates Stadium.

Martinez has been outstanding since replacing the injured Bernd Leno, and he has helped Arsenal win both the FA Cup and the Community Shield.
Martinez’s performances have earned him high praise, with Arteta even calling him ‘phenomenal’ in Football London.
However, if he does leave, Arsenal will still surely feel that they can cope.
Leno remains one of the finest stoppers in the Premier League, and if the German does have to be reinstated as number one there will be no concerns over his quality.
