90Min claim that Lyon are set to reduce the asking price of Lucas Paqueta to a bargain £33million amid reports that Newcastle, Arsenal and Manchester City have all shown interest in the Brazil international this summer.
Paqueta, who turns 25 later this month, has enjoyed two wonderful seasons with Lyon. But his form, as well as becoming a mainstay in the Brazil national team, is attracting the interest of some of the Premier League’s richest.
Newcastle’s connection with Lyon, and Bruno Guimaraes’ friendship with Paqueta, have seen the Toon linked all summer. Dean Jones reports this week that Eddie Howe’s side will table an offer for the Brazilian soon.
However, Newcastle are not alone in the race for Paqueta. Premier League champions Manchester City fancy Paqueta, while Arsenal are also said to have interest. He had a previous price tag of £68million, according to reports.

Now, 90Min report that Lyon are set to reduce their asking price to a bargain £33million. They are seemingly open to his exit this summer, and such a fee will surely attract suitors. It remains to be seen where he would prefer to go.
Lyon to reduce Paqueta asking price amid Newcastle interest
Now, all three clubs are expected to be in the market for a no.10. Manchester City may feel the need to replace Bernardo Silva if he leaves, and of course, Raheem Sterling. Newcastle have had bids rejected for James Maddison.
Arsenal do have Fabio Vieira, Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith-Rowe. But Odegaard and Vieira can also play deeper in midfield and Smith-Rowe is often used from the left. So, another player in that role might be targeted.
For a bargain £33million, all three should be on red alert. It would be of no surprise if another club became interested in Paqueta this summer – at that price. Three weeks remain in the window and Paqueta could still depart.
