Tottenham Hotspur have no intention of selling Tanguy Ndombele to Liverpool, according to the London Evening Standard.

Liverpool have recently been linked with a surprise move for the Tottenham midfielder, who has struggled in his first season in the Premier League.

However, Spurs are said to be staying patient with Ndombele, as they have faith that he will improve in his second season with them.

Tottenham are now believed to be keen to reject all offers for Ndombele, with Jose Mourinho’s side reportedly having no desire to cash in on Liverpool’s apparent interest.

Ndombele will need to improve if he is to make it at Spurs, as his fitness levels have been called into question this term.

Although the £63 million signing (BBC Sport) has shown flashes of quality on the ball, when Spurs have been without possession, he has been exposed.

Ndombele has looked lethargic and offered very little in terms of defensive protection for Tottenham’s back-four.

That is a worrying combination for a midfielder in a side managed by Mourinho, who places such importance of staying strong at the back.

And if Ndombele does not make considerable progress in training in the coming months, then Tottenham may be more willing to sell the French international at a later date.
