Italian outlet CMW claim Juventus are readying a shock move to sign Arsenal defender Gabriel – by sending Adrien Rabiot to Arsenal permanently, Arthur on loan and a cash fee of £25million for the Brazilian centre-back.
Gabriel, 24, has been a stalwart in the Arsenal defence over the past two seasons. While seemingly happy in North London, Juventus are keen to get him. Arsenal, meanwhile, are likely to be in the market for a midfielder.
They have signed Fabio Vieira, but he is more of an attacking midfielder in Martin Odegaard’s mould. They need more depth at the base of the midfield, with Mikel Arteta using a 4-2-3-1 system. Even with Mo Elneny signing a new deal.

Arthur was strongly linked in January and Rabiot is keen to join a Premier League side this summer. The £15million-rated ace is out of contract in 2023 and Juventus are keen to get rid of him – with Liverpool among his suitors.
Indeed, it has led Juventus to try an outlandish move for Gabriel. They are willing to table an offer of £25million, Rabiot permanently and Arthur on loan for the 2022-23 campaign. It might just tempt Arsenal into a deal.
Juventus move to sign Gabriel: Rabiot permanently and Arthur on loan
It would be an incredibly surprising move to see two players and a decent-ish fee come in for Gabriel. But the issue is, do Arsenal need two midfielders – or just the one? They have Granit Xhaka, Thomas Partey and Elneny.
Arsenal would surely prefer either Rabiot or Arthur included and a larger fee, if they were to sell Gabriel. But the situation remains, Gabriel is hardly going to be for sale and it would take an astronomical bid to let him go.
