Tottenham have brought in Joe Hart this summer, which has led to concerns that Gazzaniga’s game time could be seriously limited next term.
Fulham are now trying to take advantage of the situation, and are ready to make a bid for the Argentine.
Gazzaniga he may feel that his chances of first-team football would be greater at Craven Cottage, if he was to make the move.
Scott Parker is apparently prepared to offer him a chance to compete for a first-team spot, and he may well be favourite to take over the number one shirt if he was to arrive.
Gazzaniga has built up a reputation as one of the more reliable back-up goalkeepers in the Premier League.
Gazzaniga was required to play a number of games for Spurs last season, after Hugo Lloris’ injury, and he managed to impress.
Indeed, Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is just one of his admirers, as the Dutch centre-back labelled him ‘outstanding’ after the two sides met in October in the London Evening Standard.
Spurs are looking to raise funds this summer, so if Fulham were to make a sizeable bid for Gazzaniga they may feel that the time is right to let him go.
