Newcastle United have reached ‘a total agreement’ with Eibar for the loan transfer of Yoshinori Muto, according to Marca.
The Spanish paper claims Muto will join the Basque club on a season-long loan without a purchase option.
The Newcastle manager Steve Bruce confirmed on Monday that the Japanese striker was close to leaving St James’ Park.
And Muto will undergo a medical at his prospective new club ‘in the next few hours’, according to Marca.
It is said that, should the £9.5 million Magpies recruit pass those examinations, he could be an Eibar player in time for Tuesday’s training session.

Muto has scored just twice in 28 games since his 2018 move to Newcastle from Mainz.
And the Magpies will hope that, with his contract due to expire at the end of next season, he can significantly improve upon that record in Spain.
Newcastle recently paid a reported £20m to recruit Callum Wilson in Muto’s position.
