According to DHA, Arsenal outcast Mesut Ozil has received an offer from D.C United which has piqued his interest.

The Major League Soccer side’s proposal includes plenty of business opportunities aside from football.

Interestingly, the Washington-based outfit have highlighted how a move to the United States could help Ozil’s M10 E-sports brand, as well as his M10 Streetwear collection.

Additionally, D.C United are proposing to establish the 92-cap Germany international’s M10 Football Academy, which is described as another ‘important’ aspect of the offer for Ozil.

It is said by DHA that the former Real Madrid maestro views the offer in a positive light.

D.C United have already housed one former Premier League star in Wayne Rooney.

The Manchester United legend spent two years of his career in Washington between 2018–2020, where he scored 25 goals in 52 games.

Speaking to The Telegraph, he praised D.C United, highlighting the fact that they gave him a ‘hassle-free’ life over in the States which he never got in England.

It has been well documented that Ozil’s time at Arsenal looks to be over.

The German was left out of Arsenal’s Premier League and Europa League squads by Mikel Arteta, while he hasn’t played for the Gunners in any competition since March.
