According to Milliyet, Besiktas have placed Cenk Tosun at the top of their list of summer targets following an impressive start to his loan spell.
Last month, the Turkish giants re-signed their former striker on a deal until the end of the season, and he’s taken to his return like a duck to water.
The £60,000-a-week man scored two goals on his second debut for Besiktas in the 3-0 win over Genclerbirligi on Monday.
Now, Milliyet are saying that the Süper Lig outfit are desperate to bring him home for good, and you can understand why.
Tosun is somewhat of a prodigal son at Besiktas, returning to a hero’s welcome after his exploits in the Premier League.

The 29-year-old scored 64 goals in 143 appearances for the club before joining Everton.
He is without doubt a cult hero, icon, legend – you name it – at Besiktas.
Understandably, the 45-cap Turkey international is keen on the move, and wants to leave Everton to return to his beloved Besiktas.

Having scored just 11 goals in 58 games for the Toffees, while also being ignored by numerous managers, you can see why he wants out.
Tosun’s contract expires in June 2022.
In that respect, Besiktas could find themselves in a good position to negotiate this summer, as Everton might panic about losing him for nothing if they don’t shift him soon.
