Sevilla are open to selling Diego Carlos to Liverpool this summer, according to Marca.

Liverpool are said to be interested in landing the £65 million-rated centre-back (El Desmarque), as Jurgen Klopp looks to strengthen his defence.

And Sevilla would apparently not stand in his way, if Liverpool did submit a sizeable offer in the summer.

Carlos has been a key player for Sevilla, but the Spanish club may be looking to cash-in, as they aim to raise funds.

If Carlos was to move to Liverpool he could be an impressive capture for Klopp’s side.

Liverpool have been linked with a range of centre-backs already this summer, which suggests that Klopp may be aiming to strengthen in defence in the coming months.

Carlos would help in that respect, although he would not be guaranteed a starting place at Anfield.

The Reds already have a formidable partnership in the heart of their backline, with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez both impressing this campaign.
