According to Fussball Transfers, Hertha Berlin are open to selling Niklas Stark to West Ham this January, if an attractive offer arrives.
What’s the story?
Well, the news comes after Sport1 revealed that West Ham were in talks with Hertha Berlin over a January move for Stark.
Now, Fussball Transfers have encouraged the Hammers by claiming that the Bundesliga side would be open to a sale, should the money be right and a replacement also be found.
Sport1 believe David Moyes is a huge fan of the £32,000-a-week man, who is viewed as a replacement for Angelo Ogbonna following his injury.
The Italian has been ruled out for the rest of the season after damaging cruciate ligaments in the 3-2 win over Liverpool.
In our view, West Ham have an excellent chance of signing Stark, as his contract expires in June.
Niklas Stark would be another David Moyes bargain at West Ham

Since returning to the London Stadium, Moyes has made some fantastic signings.
The likes of Tomas Soucek, Vladimir Coufal, Jarrod Bowen and Craig Dawson arrived for bargain fees, and Stark could be next in line.
Hertha Berlin will have to sell the 2-cap Germany international for a cut-price fee, or else they will lose him for nothing in June.

Additionally, at 26 years of age, Stark would be a fine long-term replacement for Ogbonna, who will turn 34 in May.
Moyes made a name for himself at Everton as a result of his ability to find talent for bargain fees, such as Mikel Arteta, Yakubu, Leighton Baines and Steven Pienaar.
Now, the Scot may have found another gem in Stark.
