According to Calciomercato, Inter Milan are now willing to sell Stefan de Vrij, amid interest from Newcastle and Tottenham.
What’s the story?
Well, it was FC Inter News who claimed that the Magpies and Spurs are interested in signing the 55-cap Netherlands international.
De Vrij is among the best players at the San Siro, and has made 18 appearances in all competitions for Inter Milan this term.
However, Calciomercato believe the Italian giants need to sell players, and would welcome a bid from the Premier League for their No.6.
The Italian news outlet state that Inter Milan will consider an offer worth €20m (£17m) for the 29-year-old.
De Vrij was signed on a free transfer from Lazio, so any sale would signal 100% profit for Inter Milan, enhancing the health of their finances significantly.
Calciomercato state that Inter Milan are in no position to offer De Vrij a raise on his current €4.5m-a-season (£3.8m) salary.
By the looks of it, the Serie A outfit are in desperate need of cash.
Newcastle must fight to fend off Tottenham

For any player in Serie A, working with Antonio Conte provides a very attractive opportunity.
De Vrij has been lucky enough to work with the Italian, and won the Serie A title under the 52-year-old last season.
In total, the Dutchman has made 88 appearances under Conte, scoring five goals while also providing five assists.

The pair have enjoyed great success together, so in our view, Newcastle and Eddie Howe must work hard to convince De Vrij.
It will take a lot to make the centre-back ignore a reunion with Conte at a side challenging for a place in the Champions League.
Will De Vrij turn that down for a relegation scrap? Only time will tell.
