According to Bild, Borussia Dortmund are ready to sell Youssoufa Moukoko, which might be of interest to Tottenham.
What’s the story?
Well, Bild are claiming that the 17-year-old wonderkid is refusing to sign a new contract at the Signal Iduna Park, with his current terms expiring in June 2023.
As a result, Borussia Dortmund are now preparing to sell him, or else they risk losing him for nothing in 2023.
It comes after the Germany Under-21 international admitted on Instagram that he would like to play with Harry Kane one day.
Now, Tottenham haven’t actually been linked with a move for Moukoko, although – in our view at least – they should submit a bid following his revelation on social media.
So far this season, the teenager has made 14 appearances in the Bundesliga, scoring one goal while also providing two assists.
In his two outings for the Germany Under-21 side, he has impressively scored three goals.
Tottenham must sign Youssoufa Moukoko
In our view, Moukoko is the best 17-year-old in European football, and Tottenham would be fools to not at least make Borussia Dortmund an offer.
In 125 appearances throughout his brief career so far – including youth games – the German prodigy has remarkably scored 146 goals.
Moukoko rose to fame after netting 90 goals in just 56 appearances for Borussia Dortmund’s Under-17 side, and followed that up with 47 goals in just 25 outings for their Under-19 side.
Unfortunately, the youngster has found first-team chances hard to come by under Marco Rose, although in fairness, he has suffered injury issues this season, specifically muscle problems.
However, he clearly knows where the back of the net is, and with Kane’s playmaking ability taken into account, the pair could strike up a special partnership in N17.
Keep an eye on Moukoko’s situation, as Spurs simply have to test the waters with an offer given the circumstances.
