Liverpool are expected to make a bid for Ozan Kabak in the January transfer window, the Telegraph suggest.

Liverpool have raced to the top of the Premier League table, but Jurgen Klopp’s side do still have some concerns defensively, following a spate of injuries.

The Reds are really down to the bare bones at the back, and even though Nathaniel Phillips and Rhys Williams have both stepped in impressively, there is a feeling that Liverpool could invest at the next opportunity.

Schalke certainly are of the belief that Liverpool will look to spend, and they reportedly feel that a bid for Kabak is incoming.

The Telegraph suggest that Divock Origi could even be included in the offer, as the forward appears to have little future at Anfield.

Kabak’s valuation has apparently dropped by £13 million in the past few months, with Schalke said to be wanting £18 million for the centre-back by (Calcio Mercato).

Kabak could now represent an extremely good value for money signing, as the 20-year-old has looked highly impressive at the back for someone of such tender years.

If he was to arrive at Liverpool he could provide Klopp with more defensive cover, which could be crucial, in case further injuries strike later on in the season.
