PSG have reportedly offered rumoured Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe a new contract proposal which could make the French international the best-paid footballer of all time.
According to the Independent, the UEFA Champions League giants have made an offer for Mbappe which would see his wage skyrocket close to £1m-a-week, making the 23-year-old the highest-paid player in the history of the sport.
As per the report, Real Madrid are strong favourites to land Mbappe in the summer when the striker’s contract expires, with Liverpool also in the race according to Sport. However, of course, neither side are unable to offer such ridiculous wages to the Paris-born attacker.
Mbappe was the star on Tuesday night when the two clubs met in the French capital for the first leg of PSG’s Round of 16 clash against Real Madrid in the Champions League, with the forward scoring a stoppage-time winner for the hosts.
As per the Independent, Mbappe’s goal gave PSG a shock of realisation of how important the 23-year-old is to their project, with the forward on course to becoming the best player in the world, a reason why Liverpool are interested in the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner.
However, this latest report, should it be true, could all but wreck Madrid and Liverpool’s chances of signing Mbappe, who could be about to make football history with PSG should he sign this proposed £1m-a-week contract.
Outrageous Mbappe contract could once again see PSG break football

Mega-money contracts are hardly anything new in football, yet this proposal from PSG could see the French clubs break football once again following on from the summer their signed both Mbappe and Neymar.
Indeed, this offer blows anything Madrid or Liverpool could ever offer Mbappe, and if PSG pulls it off, it could once again change the landscape of top-level football, with contracts becoming more valuable than ever.
