Wolverhampton Wanderers appear to be facing competition for the FC Porto winger, Jesus Corona.
A Bola claimed last week that Wolves had offered between €22-24 million (£20.1-21.9m) for Corona.
But the bid was said to have been rejected, having fallen short of the Portuguese side’s €30m (around £27.4m) asking price – which aligns with the 27-year-old’s buyout clause.
According to Record, Sevilla are also keen on Corona and ‘have not yet given up on signing the Mexican’, despite being quoted an identical fee by Porto.
It was, of course, Sevilla who knocked Wolves out of the Europa League last season, at the quarter final stage.
And Wolves, who have seen their options on the right-hand side depleted through the sale of Matt Doherty, may not want to lose out a second time to the Andalusians.
Corona, who has two years left on his contract in Porto, scored or assisted 25 goals in 51 games last season, across all competitions.
Should the former Monterrey player move to Molineux, he would reunite with his Mexico teammate, Raul Jimenez.
