Liverpool legend Gerrard has told City that he is not interested in becoming their manager, according to the report.
It has been further claimed that the Championship club in England are now considering Aston Villa assistant manager John Terry to take charge of the first team.
The Chelsea legend has already reportedly indicated that he is interested in the Ashton Gate Stadium job.
Steven Gerrard decision
Gerrard’s reported decision to turn down City and stay put at Rangers does not come as a surprise at all.
After all, Rangers are a massive club, and the former England international midfielder is hugely popular among the Ibrox faithful.
With the Gers aiming to stop their bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic from winning the Scottish Premiership title next season for the 10th time in a row, it is very hard to think that Gerrard will leave the club right now.
John Terry move
Terry has been the Villa assistant manager since October 2018, and having earned experience working under Dean Smith, perhaps he is ready to take charge of City now.
