PSG are reportedly eyeing a move for Borussia Dortmund star and rumoured Liverpool target Erling Haaland to replace Kylian Mbappe.
According to Foot Mercato, the Bundesliga superstar is PSG’s priority to succeed Mbappe at the club, who is expected to depart France this summer for a free agent move to Real Madrid.
Replacing the 23-year-old striker will be a major undertaking for PSG, who paid a reported £166m for Mbappe in 2017 according to Sky Sports News, however, it appears that Haaland is now on the club’s radar to replace the French superstar, with Liverpool also chasing the striker.
According to the Daily Star, the Reds are one of four Premier League clubs chasing the 21-year-old attacker, with Haaland’s agent Mino Raiola reportedly telling Liverpool a move to England is now likely for the Norwegian international.
As per the report, the likes of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid could struggle to afford Haaland’s total package, with Raiola expected to be offered one of the highest agent fees in football history.
Indeed, PSG could be one of the few clubs that can afford Haaland, and for Liverpool, this will be a huge blow for Jurgen Klopp’s side, who could do with a new focal point to lead their attack.
Haaland to PSG is written on the wall despite Liverpool interest

Haaland will no doubt be one of the most in-demand players in the summer transfer window, yet for Liverpool, the attacker is more than likely off to PSG given the finances in play for the attacker.
Moreover, with 23 goals in 20 games in all competitions, Haaland’s superstar persona suits what PSG want in a replacement for Mbappe, who is more than likely heading to Madrid at the end of this season.
