Besiktas are keen to tie Cyle Larin down to a new contract after Everton and West Bromwich Albion showed interest in the Canada international, as reported by Milliyet.
It is four years since Cenk Tosun fired the Black Eagles to Super Lig glory and it seems the Istanbul-based giants have finally found a striker capable of emulating one of their favourite sons.
Canada international Cyle Larin has scored 15 times in 28 games this season and it’s no surprise a fine run of goalscoring form has coincided with Besiktas’ re-emergence as genuine title challengers.
No wonder the side sitting joint top with arch-rivals Galatasaray are keen to open contract talks with their star striker before the transfer window opens.

Milliyet reports that while Besiktas are wary of distracting Larin during a key part of the season, talks will get under way in May. The former Orlando City ace will be offered a two or three-year extension, with his current deal due to expire in 2022.
The report comes a day after Fanatik reported Everton’s interest in the Ontario-born frontman. The Toffees are apparently set to offer Tosun, who rejoined Besiktas on loan in January, in exchange.
West Brom, meanwhile, had a £14 million offer rejected last month and may be back in the summer with a lack of goals proving a real issue for Sam Allardyce’s side (Milliyet).
