According to Calciomercato, AC Milan are willing to sell Rafael Leão for €40 million (£34.3 million) this summer, after Leeds and Wolves were linked with the forward.

The Italian news outlet claim that AC Milan have not seen a rise in their €30 million (£25.7 million) signing from LOSC Lille’s valuation, and would consider selling for the right price.

This news comes after Gianluca Di Marzio revealed that Leeds were keen on the 12-cap Portugal Under-21 international back in August.

Elsewhere, it was Calciomercato who said Wolves were showing an interest in the 21-year-old back in July.

Things went cold on this front after Leeds signed Rodrigo, and Wolves eventually moved to bring Willian Jose to Molineux in January.

However, now that AC Milan would be willing to cash in on their highly-rated young forward, Marcelo Bielsa and Nuno Espirito Santo might’ve had their heads turned, in our view.

If Leão really is available, Leeds and Wolves would be foolish not to at least try to sign him.

The Almada-born attacker has previously been likened to Kylian Mbappé by LOSC Lille president Gerard Lopez, who spoke jubilantly to RMC Sport after beating Borussia Dortmund and Benfica to Leão.

Goal quote him as saying: “He’s the Portuguese Mbappé.”

If he’s even a tenth of the player Mbappé is, Leeds and Wolves have to get involved.
