Napoli could leave Arkadiusz Milik out of their upcoming friendlies as they work on the Tottenham Hotspur-linked striker’s sale, according to Calciomercato.
The Daily Mirror (Wednesday 9th September, page 55) claimed earlier this week that Tottenham are ready to buy Milik, for whom Napoli want around £26 million.
But while Spurs’ name fails to feature in the Calciomercato report, it does state that the Serie A side are ‘evaluating new destinations for the Pole’.
The Italian newspaper adds that Milik is considered ‘out of the project’ by Napoli, who ‘absolutely want to avoid’ losing him for free at the end of his contract next summer.

And, with injury likely jeopardise those plans, it is claimed that Milik, along with the former Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente – who also features on the Neapolitans’ shunt list – could sit out the games against Pescara and Sporting.
Tottenham have been monitoring the 26-year-old’s situation all summer as they seek to a back-up to their first-choice striker, Harry Kane, according to The Daily Mirror.
