Burnley are braced for a late offer for James Tarkowski, with West Ham United candidates to make a bid, the Sun claim (10:56).
West Ham were heavily linked with Tarkowski over the summer, but were unable to agree a deal.
The Sun now lists David Moyes’ side alongside Leicester City as potential candidates to make a last minute bid today, with Burnley apparently braced for offers.
The Clarets view Stoke City defender Nathan Collins as his ideal replacement, and could attempt to force through a deal for him, if they do accept a bid for Tarkowski.
That seems highly unlikely at this moment in time, even if West Ham have been tentatively linked again.

Moyes’s side have looked solid at the back this term, with Craig Dawson and Angelo Ogbonna forming a reliable partnership of late.
West Ham have also kept Issa Diop around, which means that they are relatively well stocked at the back.
And while Tarkowski would be a quality addition, it would be a surprise to see West Ham launch a late bid, with David Moyes’s side seemingly more intent on bringing in a striker than a central defender this month.
