Southampton are open to selling Pierre Emile Hojbjerg to Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to the London Evening Standard.
However, it is not all good news for Tottenham, as Southampton are refusing to budge on their asking price for the midfielder.
Spurs have put Hojbjerg right at the top of their transfer wishlist, as they look to bolster their midfield options for next term.
But they may have to stretch their budget to sign the Danish international, as Southampton want £35 million for him.
Hojbjerg has just one year left on his contract at St. Mary’s, but Southampton still feel that he is worth a sizeable fee, which could put him out of Tottenham’s price-range.

Spurs have announced sizeable losses over the past year, with Jose Mourinho apparently only having a small amount of money to spend this summer.
Tottenham will now surely need to negotiate if they are to afford a deal for Hojbjerg, and if Southampton’s current stance doesn’t change the deal could be in doubt, despite Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side apparent willingness to sell if their asking price is met.
