Barcelona are now hoping that Philippe Coutinho does join Arsenal, according to Goal.
Coutinho has been linked with Arsenal for a long time now, with the Brazilian thought to be a potential option for Mikel Arteta’s side.
And while his sizeable wages at Barca could be an issue, the Catalan club are said to be hoping that doing a deal with Arsenal could be possible.
It represents a quick fall from grace for Coutinho – who was expected to be a star at the Nou Camp when he first arrived in 2018.
The former Liverpool ‘superstar‘ just hasn’t been able to find his top form in Spain though, and a return to the Premier League with Arsenal could now appeal to the £80 million man (TalkSPORT).

Goal suggest that any deal is likely to be a loan move rather than a permanent switch, but that could still be appealing to the Gunners.
Arteta has suggested that he wants Arsenal to add more creativity in the attacking areas next term, and Coutinho’s arrival would certainly help in that regard.
