Fenerbahce are convinced that they are going to sign Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil, Sky Germany say, but the deal is yet to be completed.
Fenerbahce have apparently offered Ozil a contract now, as they are eager to snap up the Arsenal man at the earliest possible opportunity.
The Gunners are not intending to stand in Ozil’s way of leaving, but complications still exit.
Fener need Arsenal to agree to let Ozil leave on a free and pay part of his salary until the end of the season.
Whether the Gunners will agree to this remains to be seen, but the Turkish side are adamant that he will be joining them.
Sky claim that the transfer has now reached a ‘crucial stage’, and should develop further over the next few days.

If Ozil does leave Arsenal it will bring to an end his seven year stay at the Emirates Stadium.
Ozil has not featured for Arsenal at all this season, and it seems he has no possible way of fighting his way back into Mikel Arteta’s plans.
