Djibril Sidibe has started just one Premier League game since joining Marco Silva’s Everton on loan from Ligue 1 outfit Monaco.

Monaco do not have an option to re-call Djibril Sidibe from Everton in the January transfer window with The Toffees retaining the right to sign the World Cup winner permanently for a fee of £13 million, according to the Liverpool Echo.
The French right-back has played just two Premier League games since joining The Toffees on loan over the summer and both of those have come with Seamus Coleman ruled out through suspension.
As a result, Calciomercato claimed earlier this week that Sidibe was unhappy with life on the Everton bench and AC Milan were apparently hoping to snap him up during the winter with Monaco apparently ready to cut short his spell at Goodison Park and sell him to the Rossoneri.
But the Liverpool Echo believes that the 2017 Ligue 1 champions cannot cancel Sidibe’s loan deal midway through the campaign with the Troyes-born 27-year-old set to stay on Merseyside until the summer at least.

He impressed during his first league start in Saturday’s 2-0 win against West Ham United but Sidibe will need to give the long-serving Coleman more of a challenge over the next few months if he is to convince Everton to part with £13 million.
Especially when you consider that the highly-rated Jonjoe Kenny is set to return a much more mature and confident player thanks to his own loan spell at Schalke.
