According to The Independent, Clark Robertson has visited Aberdeen to discuss a potential return to the club.
It’s claimed that Robertson is a priority signing for new boss Stephen Glass, and Aberdeen have now made a ‘fresh approach’ to the defender.
Robertson is a boyhood Aberdeen fan, born in Aberdeen and started his career with the Dons, so a return home could be appealing.
The 27-year-old has visited Aberdeen’s Cormack Park training ground in order to talk over a move back to Pittodrie.
However, Portsmouth are actually considered favourites to sign Robertson after he held ‘positive talks’ with Pompey boss Danny Cowley.
Ipswich Town are keen too, and there is even interest from Polish side Slask Wroclaw and Israeli outfit Hapoel Jerusalem.

Robertson is a free agent having left Rotherham United this summer, and now has a real decision to make with so many clubs interested.
Aberdeen will hope that his emotional ties to the club will help lure him back to the club, joining Scott Brown and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas in arriving this summer.
