With just seconds remaining last night, Arsenal gave themselves work to do in the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final against Slavia Prague.

Tomáš Holeš popped up at the back post to head in a crucial away goal for Slavia Prague, much to the horror of Arsenal fans and Granit Xhaka.

As tweeted by Goal’s Charles Watts, the Arsenal No.34 was fuming at full-time, and unleashed a strongly-worded cry to his teammates.

You can see what Xhaka yelled at his teammates in the tweet below.

We couldn’t agree more with the Switzerland international.

With just seconds to go, why on Earth were Arsenal continuing to pass the ball around at the back?

What were they hoping to gain?

There was barely enough time to mount another attack, so the ball simply had to be launched upfield to relieve the pressure.

Instead, Arsenal played their way into handing Slavia Prague a corner, which they took full advantage of.

It was just absolutely appalling game management.

Now, Arsenal have to score in Prague. A 0-0 draw would see the Czech Republicans progress on away goals.

We understand that Mikel Arteta clearly wants his team to keep the ball and play incisive passing patterns to form attacks.

However, there’s a time and a place for that, which isn’t usually in the 93rd minute of a game you’re winning 1-0.
