According to Eurosport, Kylian Mbappe wants his next contract to be worth £500,000-a-week amid speculation linking him with Liverpool.

It has been reported that sources around Liverpool this season have said that the Premier League giants do not have the budget that a club who have won the Premier League and the Champions League in successive seasons would.

In January 2021, ESPN reported that Paris Saint-Germain forward Mbappe would be keen on working with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and playing for the defending English champions.

Eurosport has claimed that Mbappe wants £500,000 per week as salary to sign his next contract, whether that be at PSG or at another club, with the report suggesting that it is unlikely that Liverpool will be able to afford it.

Blow for Liverpool?

If Liverpool reportedly do not have a big transfer kitty, then it could be a problem for them regarding making their squad better in the summer of 2021.

The Reds are not having the best of seasons, and there is an argument to be made that they could do with freshening up their squad.

Mbappe would be a dream signing for Liverpool, but the Merseyside club could struggle to come up with the wage package as well as the transfer fee that PSG would demand.
